Association for Asian Research (AFAR)

Through research and communications, AFAR seeks to provide the American public with an in-depth understanding of the dynamics of Asian affairs in the interest of peace and prosperity. It is host to independent views and analysis on East Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Central Asia, over a wide range of topics including culture, politics, economy, human rights, religion, security, science, and the environment. AFAR accomplishes this objective through a variety of publications and presentations. AFAR is a non-profit, non-partisan, and non-governmental research institution. It promotes understanding through truth.
